The Power of the Porter - Romans 10:21

Almighty God our redeemer the maker of heaven and earth sincerely took His time to create us in His own image. He is the pillar that holds our life. He is the porter and we are the clay. In Benin City, Nigeria where I came from, there are areas where the lock smith’s are truly busy creating beautiful carves of different designs. It is worth seeing before and after it is finished. The clay is taken from the ground and by the time it goes through some real hot red fire, molding and countless beating, it becomes admirable and able to stand beautifully in the homes of men and women as decorations and valuables.

God spoke to a prophet to go to the house of a potter. Jeremiah 18:4 says that, “And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.” In the hands of the Lord we are the clay. He has the right to mold us, until we seem good in His eyes. The clay has to go through the fire, water and beating. However, “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee” (Isaiah 43:2).

The ability to trust God during hard and good times will enable you to experience His divine power and presence in your life. The porter can do whatever He pleases (Psalm 113:2) because He has the final say in every situation. Jeremiah 18:6, “O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? Saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand.” The power of the porter manifested when Daniel was thrown into the lions den. God did not smite the lions instead He shut their mouths to demonstrate His unfailing love and power to those who put their trust in Him. Daniel’s knowledge of God made Him strong. Daniel 11:32b, “but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” These days due to many uncertainties, economy failure, 401K in trouble, sudden deaths, and unexplainable illnesses and so on, make the love of many to wax cool. Remember that our porter will not fail or let you down.

The power of positive confession, seeing things from the eyes of God, living according to the standard and principles of God Almighty will sail you through the storms of life. Do not rebel against the porter. Disallow fear to operate in your life. Fear can lead to doubt and doubt leads to disobedient. However, God is telling us “Fear not: for I am with thee:” Isaiah 43:5a

Have you lost money in the stock market, your job is no more and it’s seem that the bottom of the pot is pulling out. You are not alone. God will not close one door without Him opening another door. God is able to “restore your soul” (Psalm 23). Your challenges will turn to testimonies in Jesus name. Claim this for your victory today because God Almighty is able. Fear not, the Lord will come through for you to make you vessel of honor to the glory of His Holy name. Romans 9:14-23NIV “For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” I pray God to show you divine mercy today. As His creature, He is your anchor and you will hold you not to fail. So please, don’t give up, God is in control. He will see you through put your trust in Him.
