Christy Ogbeide Ministries
Healing Prayer and Deliverance Ministry

It has been said that some are born great; some have greatness entrusted to them, while some achieve greatness. The last can be justifiably said of Christy Ogbeide who is the oldest of seven siblings from her mother’s side. Pastor Christy was born on February 3, 1956 in the oil rich city of Warri in the present Delta State of Nigeria. She attended her primary and secondary education in Warri and Benin respectively before migrating to the Untied States.

 

She was called into the ministry in October of 1991, after which she started a Women’s Prayer Ministry the same year she received her call. With a greater anointing, she moved on to establish the El-Shaddai Ministries in 1998, a prayer and intercessory ministry committed to soul winning, teaching and counseling. She also founded the El-Shaddai Mission Outreach in Nigeria in 1999. In July of 2000, she founded the Bible Mission Project, through which hundreds of Bibles have been sent to Nigeria and around the world to new coverts who cannot afford to purchase a Bible. Pastor Ogbeide founded the HOPE KITCHEN in December of 2000, where hundreds of less privileged have been fed through this project in USA and in African Countries. In 2004 she found the El-Shaddai Scholarship Fund and currently responsible for paying school fees for five less privileged children in High School and two in the University making an impact in the lives of the children; so they can get a better and brighter future.

 

Pastor Christy Ogbeide worked as an Instructor for Hargest College on Main Street Houston; from 1988 to 1990 she also worked with the First Union Bank in Charlotte, NC from 1990 to 1991 and later relocated to Houston, where she picked up employment with the Attorney General’s office working as an administrator, helping to locate fathers that owed child support. She served as Assistant Clinical Officer at Mac House, Mental Health Community Center from 1997 to 2000. In 2001-2006, Pastor Mrs. Ogbeide was resigned to work with the Texas Department of Protective Services (State of Texas) as a Family Based Service Counselor helping to protect abused children and families with drug addiction and domestic violence. At present she is an employee of the Mental Health Retarded Mental Retardation Authority of Harris County, working and taking care of mentally challenged. She is currently the CEO of El-Shaddai Printing Press, Houston, Texas. Establish to publish the good news and to reach out to our world one person at a time.

 

Christy Ogbeide got her Bachelor degree in 1984 from Texas Women’s University, Denton, Texas in Business Administration with a minor in Economics. In 1997, she got her Masters degree in Counseling from A&M University, Prairie View. She also has various other degrees in computer and cosmetology. In July 2001, she got a diploma in Biblical Studies from World Evangelism Bible School and was ordained a pastor, the same year.

Pastor Christy Ogbeide has served in the community and organizations in various capacities. She is interested in reaching out and making things happen for the citizens of USA and Africa. She served as a member of the Board of Directors of The Nigeria Foundation; she also served in the late 80’s as secretary in the Benin Club of Houston, Texas. She held the position as the National Women Leader of Reality Organization; Program Director of Rehoboth Foundation; current Vice President of Nigerian Christian Association, International; Coordinator of International Women Conference, 2004-2005; Co-coordinator of Daughters of Zion, Women Minister’s/Business Prayer Fellowship; Chairman and Sponsor of Special Sports in Edo State and former Board member of Power and Praise Ministries from 2004-2005. She was the Registrar of the Power Bible Institute from 2001 to 2005 and currently the Houston Coordinator of Liberty World Outreach whose headquarters is in London. Nominated board member of Nigerian Foundation 2007. She is the founder/ President of the Hope Bible Institute (affiliated with the Charles and Frances Hunter) Healing and deliverance ministry. Recently in 2008 graduated twenty students for the purpose of mission.

 

The Mayor of Houston, Lee Brown recognized and appreciated Christy Ogbeide for publishing and launching four (4) books the same day on June 7, 2003. She is the publisher of the following five books: 1. God’s Promises for Child bearing, 2. God knows my phone number 3. Keep Hope Alive 4. Songs of Praise (275) praise and worship song book for all denominations. Also her best seller published in 2000 titled In Search of a Child; 14years barrenness broken through the power of God;

September 22, 2007, Pastor Christy Ogbeide historically launched eight (8) at a time. They are life changing Christian books: 1. Let go the pain, 2. Why Do Christians fast? 3. He borne our grief’s 4. Pastor Christy Ogbeide is a columnist who writes religious messages of courage and hope in the following local newspapers: Punch of Houston; African News Digest, Christian Herald; Christian Mirror and Impact Magazine in London.

 

The Naomi Ruth Foundation in 1998 recognized and honored Christy Ogbeide with the “Missionary Award” for her achievements and contribution to the community and the body of Christ. She has received numerous awards from different religious organizations within the community. The most recent in 2005 she was given one of the highest awards “the Humanitarian Award” in recognition of her contribution to the well being of the African Community in Africa. This is the highest award the African Community Organization gives to people who have distinguished themselves for services to others. In February of 2006, she nominated as the pastor of the month by the Christian Mirror. In April, 2006 she was recognized and given an award by The Edo State Young Adults Associations “for her formidable character and success in the Houston Nigerians Community.”

 

Pastor Christy Ogbeide is blessed with many spiritual children all over the world that she constantly prays for and mentor. Mummy Christy Ogbeide has many calls her, has been married for about thirty years (30) in April 17, 2009 to her husband, Dr. Emmanuel Ogbeide, Ph.D, M.D. and they live with their miracle son Joshua Ogbeide born after 14years of marriage through the divine intervention and power of The Most High God, in Houston, Texas, United States of America.

 

She ministers to men and women. She flows in the anointing of the Fruit of the Womb; healing; deliverance and marriage counseling. She ministers round the world, especially in the United States, Nigeria and in Europe. She is an encourager and a motivator.
